STEW opening speech: Managing software business

How do we manage software business? This year’s software conference by Swedsoft, Software Technology Exchange Workshop – STEW, kickoff with this question. We are proud to announce the experienced software organization manager Charlotta Falvin as this year’s opening speaker.

Charlotta Falvin

Charlotta Falvin has 20 years of experience from various management positions in IT and telecom focusing on international business development and organisational development. She has served as COO at Axis and CEO of Decuma and TAT The Astonishing Tribe. Since 2003 she has been board director of various public and private companies, primarily within the tech sector, and since 2011 works full time as board director, currently serving at Bure, Invisio, Net Insight and CLX. She is chairman of the board at the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University and engaged in the start-up community of southern Sweden. She has a master’s degree of business administration and an honorary doctorate degree in engineering.

These are all important aspects for Swedsoft as organisation and for the conference STEW, says Gabriel Modéus, Secretary General, Swedsoft.

This year’s conference, the seventh edition, will be arranged between Oct 17th and 18th at Malmö University. The conference has two themes Open Source in software development and AI and ML in software development.

– The Skåne region has a lot of both large and startup software companies and I am happy to see Swedsoft arranging this conference in Malmö, with these important themes for Swedish software organisations, says Charlotta Falvin
